Hello!
Today I’m going to show you how you can make beautiful little ones felt figures for Easter or other occasions.
So you dig it?
I’ve made little Easter figures in felt and you can find them in the Easter wreath DIY I made with my daughter.
It’s very easy to make these little characters.
If you know how to hold a sewing needle and a pair of scissors you will have no problem: you can do it!
I used a darning needle because it’s a very fine needle. It penetrates very easily into felt or felt.
Before embarking on this adventure, I looked at the patterns that can be downloaded from Etsy and other sites a lot, a lot. I am able to spend hours studying a subject if I like it and I always want to find the best one.
Since I do a bit of sewing, at first I thought I could look at some characters, draw the pattern myself and sew these cute things.
Taratata, I may know how to do a lot of things with my hands, but it’s not that obvious.
So I decided to buy the boss of my little characters and I have absolutely no regrets!
It’s not a simple pattern but a real instruction manual.. Everything is explained: choice of felt, dimensions, how to sew each part and with which stitch.
This document is very easy to print because it is in real size. No need to juggle with percentages.
It allows you to make a rabbit and a carrot, two decorated eggs and a beautiful little chick.
It contains 12 pages.
So I found this felt sewing pattern on Etsy and in my research I found a lot of other designers who make crazy patterns.
Here are pictures of the different stages of creation of my little rabbit and its carrot.
Just cut out the pattern you have printed, put the pieces on the felt and cut out. I recommend you use a scissors pay that cuts well to be very precise. Small scissors will be better than large sewing scissors.
Then just sew the pieces together.
What a joy to see your little rabbit building up little by little!
My little Easter bunny is very flat: I learned how to make little black balls out of thread thanks to the tutorial which is in the PDF. No need to buy black beads!
Once one side is finished, you have to sew the second side and fill the character with felt so that it takes volume. Look at the difference between the carrot and the rabbit below.
Here’s a little tip: instead of buying stuffing wadding, I just used an old shirt that I cut into strips. It’s a good way to recycle old t-shirts but also not to spend too much money.
There goes my little bunny finished!
And his buddy the carrot!

You can then attach your characters to a garland or Easter wreath. Your children or nephews will love to play with them. Make several carrots to put in a small felt garden.
My selection of sublime patterns on Etsy:
A big favourite for all the Noialand bosses: characters like Hansel and Gretel, unicorns, sets, children’s books!
At MaisieMooNZ there are also beautiful patterns:
It was at CraftersboutiqueDIY that I found the boss I told you about in this article.
I finally tied my carrot and felt rabbit with thread to my Easter wreath made with 4 hands. Don’t hesitate to discover it!
And if you don’t know where to find your felt, there’s plenty on Amazon:
Happy Easter!
