Children always have plasticine at home, bits of different leftovers accumulated and you never really know what to do with them. In this case, we’ll use them for the figures in the nativity scene. That is, the child Jesus, the Virgin, Saint Joseph, the ox, the cow and the angel. It is not necessary for the facial features of the figures to be very detailed. For example, the virgin may have a flesh-coloured head, a blue mantle and a white body or tunic. The same can be done with St. Joseph, who can be covered with a brown cloak and the child Jesus would go in white.

The next step is to decorate the nativity scene. To simulate the river, use tinfoil. The advantage of this type of paper is that it wrinkles easily so it can simulate the waves of the river and thus provide greater realism to the nativity scene.

By the river, put the trees. If you have cork stoppers at home, these can represent the trunk, while the leaves can be made with green plasticine. This will make a very colorful and dynamic forest.

Following the trend of cork stoppers, we will also use them for the rest of the animals of the nativity scene. For sheep, use the cork stoppers for the trunk and cover them with cotton. On the other hand, for the camels of the three wizard kings you can use toothpicks for the paws and neck and to join the head to the trunk, which will be formed by cork stoppers.
